Book Review: Hamlet

Hamlet is one of the most famous tragedies written by William Shakespeare. The play tells the story of Prince Hamlet of Denmark, whose father, the king, is murdered by his own brother Claudius. Claudius then takes the throne and marries Hamlet’s mother, Queen Gertrude. When Hamlet learns the truth from the ghost of his father, he struggles with grief, anger, and the question of how to take revenge. The play explores deep themes like betrayal, revenge, madness, death, and the meaning of life. Shakespeare shows how Hamlet’s hesitation and inner conflicts make him a very human and relatable character. His famous soliloquy “To be, or not to be” reflects universal doubts and fears about existence. The language of the play is rich and poetic, though sometimes difficult for modern readers, but it also makes the play powerful and timeless. 📝Blog Activity: Experiencing Translation Through Fiction

Introduction This task was assigned as part of  Translation Studies  to give us experience in translating a literary paragraph from Gujarati/Hindi into English.        Trees are men's best friend. They give us  fruits, vegetables, flowers, gum, oil and wood for fuel. Timber is used to built housas and make furniture. Paper is also made from the pulp of trees. We get many medicines from fruits, leaves and roof of trees. .       Birds built their neats in trees.Even animals depend on trees for their food. Trees  give us cool shade. They keep the environment clean and purify the air . Trees attract rain clouds. Trees are our natural wealth. Therefore , we must not cut down trees , we must grow trees. we must save the trees because they save us.
